A naturally sweet smooth and delicious alternative to chocolate. Carob Bars have over seven times the amount of fibre than most chocolate bars, no caffeine and are a rich source of calcium. No added sugar. Made from Australian grown organic carob, real cocoa butter and natural ingredients. Store in a cool, dry place between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius.
Ingredients: Milk solids, cocoa butter, organically grown carob powder (25.5%), natural vanilla extract, emulsifier (GMO-free sunflower lecithin). Contains milk. May contain treenuts, peanut, soy and sesame.

Over 20 years ago a seed was planted – the idea to turn a family’s seaside farm in Port Elliot, South Australia, into an organic Carob orchard. Since then, one tree has turned into many, and the Carob Kitchen was born.
What is carob made from?
Carob powder comes from the sweet, ripe pulp of carob pods (legume family). The pulp is dried, roasted, and ground to produce a fine powder or flour. It has a rich, nutty taste that is somewhat similar to caramel. Often used it in place of cocoa powder or chocolate.
Is carob better than chocolate?
It is dependent on your nutrition needs. If you're watching your carbohydrate intake, then dark chocolate is a better choice. Carob is the healthier alternative if you're trying to cut back on fat and calories and increase your fibre intake. Each has unique nutritional content, but both have benefits.
