What is the difference between spinach and baby leaf spinach?
Baby spinach is harvested only 15-35 days after planting. The smaller leaves are more tender and have a sweeter flavor than those of mature spinach. The baby spinach stems are also more tender, making them ideal for salads. The nutrition values of baby spinach and mature spinach are basically the same.
What is IPM? IPM farms encourage and protect beneficial insect species like ladybirds to control insect pests. IPM farms are not organic, they do however employ organic techniques such as crop rotation and green manuring and they use far fewer chemical sprays than conventional farms. We're keen to support farmers growing food in a more Earth-friendly way than traditional conventional farming and want to ensure our community has the best options available for their budget when grocery shopping.

How do we ensure organic and IPM produce doesn’t get mixed up when packing orders? We store our IPM produce in different coloured boxes to our organic produce from the moment we pick it up at the market. Our IPM produce is packed at one packing station only. For example, the organic cauliflower and IPM cauliflower are packed by two different people at different points in the packing line. These practises ensure the two varieties remain seperate.
