Only 1 carton available per order We have a steady but reduced supply as our egg producers respond to widespread shortages and increased demand. Thanks for your understanding.

NASAA certified organic, free range eggs from Hollyburton Farm, Macedon Ranges. Chook density is a very roomy 250 hens per ha, much less than the 10,000 per ha that the questionable free range legislation allows. When unavailable, we substitute with other organic or biodynamic eggs.
100% of our profits go to CERES EARTH, a registered charity with the principal purpose of protecting and enhancing the natural environment.

What does 'free range' mean? Federal legislation defining what constitutes free range egg farming came into effect in early 2018. The maximum outdoor stocking density for free range egg farming is 10,000 hens per hectare of land or one hen per square metre. These eggs come from a farm with a chook density of 250 hens per hectare.

What does 'organic eggs' mean?
Organic egg farmers can only buy grain from a certified organic supplier who grows the grain without using herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. The farmer must also keep the outdoor range area where the hens wander around and forage free of any chemicals.
The maximum outdoor stocking density allowed is one hen per four square metres where range rotation is practiced, or one hen per six square metres where fixed outdoor ranges are used.
