About Cooki
After being diagnosed with Stage 4 endometriosis at 33, Jaimee went on a mission to ‘go low tox’ and remove inflammatory chemicals from her household and beauty products. But after years of working in magazines and beauty marketing, giving up her favourite products was tough. But finding natural haircare that actually worked, and that she liked using (important!) soon became the toughest cookie to crack.
One day, Jaimee finally discovered the concept of solid haircare, known for being both plastic-free and often free from many of the chemicals, silicones and phthalates found in traditional bottled shampoo. In a strike of serendipity, soon afterwards she stumbled across a small business for sale – selling, you guessed it, shampoo bars. After trying the range, she fell in love and bought the business, creating the foundation for what is now Cooki Haircare, based in NSW.
